Since Bootham Park Hospital was closed at the end of September 2015 there has been much anger from service users and their carers, families and supporters including an excellent piece in the Guardian in March 2016.
The report from NHS England on the closure, a separate one from Healthwatch York, along with an independent report commissioned by City of York Council are to be discussed by the Council’s Health and Adult Social Care Policy and Scrutiny Committee
on Monday, 25th April, 2016 1.30 pm. The papers are available here.
Whilst the Council’s independent report points the finger at the Health & Social Care Act 2012 and failings by both trusts and NHS bodies, your opportunity to ask questions (written and submitted beforehand) and hear responses will be at the meeting.
