Tory and LibDem Myths About the NHS

Repeatedly during this general election campaign supporters of the Conservative and Liberal Democrat parties have dragged out the same old myths (and in some cases lies) about the National Health Service. Here are some links to dispel those untruths:

GP surgeries are private

We won’t reform the NHS

‘Health tourism’ is bankrupting the system

Labour began privatizing the NHS

At least Andy Burnham MP has made some attempt to apologize  for New Labour trangressions (whilst some in Labour continue with the Blairite neo-liberal programme) but the Conservatives and Liberal Democrat parties voted for the wholesale reform and opened up the door to privatization by endorsing the Health & Social Care Act 2012.
