Thanks to all who came to the public meeting in May, it was a really informative and interesting night. There were a lot of new faces who we welcome into our group. And for those who have been involved for over a year, I think the evening really renewed our enthusiasm to continue fighting for a National Health Service that is free at the point of use, aimed at reducing health inequalities and improving quality, not increasing competition, bureaucracy and profit for private companies.
Following this, we have has also been a regional meeting in Leeds with representatives from groups in Sheffield, Manchester, Leeds and York. We hope to continue these links and broaden out across the country, to become a national lobby group.
Please do join us on Thursday 14 June in the Lamb and Lion pub (Bootham Bar) at 6.30pm in the Top Parlour to find out more and get involved.
Also a PUBLIC CONFERENCE FOR NHS SUPPORTERS is being held on Saturday 23 June 10.30 – 17.00 Friends Meeting House, Euston Road, London. See here for more details.
